BNC 2026, short for Beyond Nature and Culture: Planetary Precarity in Literary-Cultural-Linguistic Representations, is an international hybrid conference organized by the Department of English, Daffodil International University, Bangladesh, on 4–5 December 2026. It brings together work in literary studies, cultural studies, postcolonial theory, ecocriticism, posthumanism, linguistics, and ELT to examine colonial modernity, environmental precarity, more-than-human agency, waterscapes, and sustainability literacy.
Submission Guidelines: All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Abstracts should be 150–200 words and include the paper title, author name(s), affiliation(s), country, corresponding author’s email, track selection, 4–6 keywords, and mode of participation. File format should be DOCX or PDF. The current public CFP also recommends the subject line EDDIU2026_Abstract_TrackX_LeadSurname.
Full papers describing: original research, theoretical interventions, close readings, cultural or film analysis, linguistic and ecolinguistic inquiry, pedagogy-focused studies, or interdisciplinary work aligned with the conference themes of planetary precarity, colonial modernity, more-than-human agency, environmental justice, and sustainability literacy.
Posters describing: emerging research projects, early-stage findings, classroom or curriculum innovations, digital/public humanities initiatives, or visually presented work related to the conference tracks and themes.

Venue: The conference will be held in hybrid mode at Daffodil International University (DIU), Bangladesh, with onsite and online participation.
