FENS 2026: 3rd Workshop in Financial Economics and Network Science
London (UK) June 26, 2026
The increasing integration among financial markets has drawn the attention of scholars, policymakers, and market participants. The consequences of these connections are under scrutiny, especially regarding their influence on the real economy. Major financial crises have demonstrated how quickly instability in one country can transmit to others. The goal of this workshop is to offer a forum for presenting new research on the relationships among financial markets (such as equity, bond, exchange rate, and commodity markets) and the real economy, while also emphasising the role that banks and financial institutions may play in reducing the impact of cross-country spillover shocks.
List of Topics
- Banks and financial intermediation
- Banking efficiency and profitability
- Contagion in financial networks
- Financial geography
- Financial markets integration
- Structural fragility and resilience in financial networks
