Over the years, the conference has been hosted at various cities, including Berkeley (California), Venice (Italy), Singapore, Hyderabad (India), and Melbourne (Australia), gathering experts and stakeholders from diverse fields to explore innovative strategies for mitigating urban heat island (UHI) effects.

As we continue to face the growing challenges posed by urban heat islands, it is clear that an interdisciplinary framework is essential. The 7th International Conference on Countermeasures to Urban Heat Islands (7th IC2UHI), to be held in Nanjing, China promises to be a significant milestone in this ongoing effort.
