Aims and Scope
The International Conference on the Quality of Information and Communications Technology (QUATIC) is a leading scientific conference that brings together experts from industry and academia to exchange ideas and approaches across all quality aspects of ICT software, systems engineering, and management. This forum fosters lively discussion on advancing the state of the art, defining future directions, and disseminating advanced methods, techniques, and tools.
QUATIC 2026, now in its 19th edition, will be hosted in Genova, Italy, a city known for its breathtaking maritime history, picturesque landscapes, and vibrant cultural scene. Nestled along the Ligurian coast, Genoa’s historic center—one of the largest in Europe—is a maze of narrow alleys, grand palaces, and medieval buildings. The city’s rich legacy, exemplified by landmarks like the UNESCO-listed Palazzi dei Rolli and the majestic Genoa Aquarium, offers a perfect blend of tradition and innovation.
QUATIC 2026 invites practitioners and researchers to submit technical papers reporting original research and experience results across all topics and sub-fields of quality in ICT processes, products, and application domains, as well as the transformation of ICT education, and to share practical studies.
List of Topics
The conference is organized into 10 thematic tracks that serve as dedicated discussion venues on focused topics of interest, mixing well-established traditional QUATIC topics and newly proposed tracks, covering breakthrough research challenges:
- Generative AI in ICT Education
- Green and Sustainable Computing
- Quality in the Age of AI
- Human, Ethical and Social Aspects
- Digital Transformation in the Age of AI
- Verification, Validation and Testing
- Data-Intensive Systems
- Process Improvement and Analytics
- Security and Privacy
- Requirements Engineering
The relevant topics specific to each track are available from the conference website at https://2026.quatic.org/thematic-tracks
QUATIC also hosts a PhD Symposium (SEDES) with the same topics as the main conference.
Submission Guidelines
QUATIC 2026 accepts the following types of contributions:
- Research and experience papers (full papers, between 12 and 16 pages). Full papers should describe novel and scientifically rigorous contributions to any aspect related to the quality of ICT processes, systems, and education. Experience papers should present original reports on relevant industrial case studies.
- Innovative and exploratory papers (short papers, between 6 and 8 pages). Short papers should describe new, unconventional approaches that fundamentally challenge established research directions and current state of practice, but which are at an early stage of investigation.
All papers must conform to the LNCS Format and be submitted through the EasyChair link:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=quatic2026
selecting the track that best suits their field. Authors of accepted papers should complete and sign the License to Publish form.
QUATIC 2026 will employ a double-blind review process. Authors of full and short papers should submit a PDF version of their paper without names and affiliations, or other elements that allow the authors' identification, to guarantee a double-blind review process. Submissions will be reviewed by at least three members of the track's Program Committee. Work that lacks substantial new material or fails to follow length and formatting guidelines will be desk-rejected and therefore will not be reviewed. The iThenticate plagiarism checker will be used to verify the originality of the submissions.

QUATIC is an in-person conference, as direct interaction among participants enhances the overall experience and fosters meaningful discussions. To ensure the quality of the technical program and encourage active participation, accepted full and short papers must be presented onsite by at least one of their authors to be included in the conference proceedings.
