The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, together with the Institute for Artificial Intelligence Research and Development of Serbia, are organizing the milestone 20th International Scientific Conference on Industrial Systems - IS'26.

IS'26 provides an international forum for researchers, engineers, and practitioners to present and discuss recent advances, emerging trends, and practical challenges in industrial systems.
The central theme of IS'26, Industry in the Age of AI, reflects the growing impact of artificial intelligence on industrial systems, and will be covered through the following conference tracks:
- PRODUCTION SYSTEMS: From smart factories and digital twins to sustainable and human-centered manufacturing in the age of AI.
- MECHATRONICS, ROBOTICS & AUTOMATION: Covering industrial and collaborative robotics, IoT, machine vision, and intelligent automation systems.
- INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS: Exploring AI-driven information systems, digital transformation, data management, and emerging technologies.
- QUALITY, EFFECTIVENESS & LOGISTICS: Addressing quality 5.0, sustainable practices, resilient systems, and human-centric approaches in modern industry.
- ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT: From corporate strategy and innovation to leadership, ESG, and responsible AI in the digital age.

All papers accepted after the peer review process and presented at the conference will be submitted for publication in Springer Proceedings, indexed in INSPEC, SCImago, and Scopus.
Authors of selected conference contributions will be invited to submit extended and substantially enhanced versions of their papers for possible publication in the International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management (IJIEM), CiteScore 6.0 | Impact Factor 3.2.
The conference will host a Research & Career Development Workshop Programme for students and early-career researchers.
The conference will be held on-site in Novi Sad, Serbia, with virtual presentation options available for authors who are unable to attend in person.
